“Had a bespoke wedding suit and another blazer made by Jack Davison for the first time. The quality and value is exceptional. Will was extremely communicative and the whole process was professional yet very friendly from start to finish. Will took a lot of care to make sure the final alterations were perfect and offered insightful sartorial advice. The shop is also very cool and not stuffy like some other tailors. I will be returning for more suits - highly recommended!”

3. Huntsman

Huntsman, located in the heart of London's famed Savile Row, is a long-standing British tailor with roots dating back to 1849. It's important to note that Huntsman exclusively offers bespoke tailoring and doesn't provide made-to-measure services.

Their bespoke craftsmanship is highly regarded, but it comes at a relatively high price point. The signature Huntsman style often features structured silhouettes and shoulders, which have appealed to a distinguished clientele over the years, including members of the royal family, actors, and influential business figures. While they don't cater to made-to-measure preferences, Huntsman remains a symbol of British tailoring tradition.

Google Review

“One of my absolute favorite stores. Huntsman offers not only made-to-measure clothing but also a small but fine ready-to-wear collection. I bought a tuxedo bow made of blue velvet and perfume during my visit. I was given very courteous and detailed advice. If you want, you can of course also take a look at the famous locker room from Kingsman. The seller was really extremely polite. The whole purchase took place in a very relaxed atmosphere and was in no way "stiff". A really great shop. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. The quality is beyond any doubt anyway.”

Their shop on Savile Row combines contemporary and traditional styles. The made-to-measure process was personalised, and the tailors provided good guidance.

I chose a classic navy suit. The fit was decent, showing their expertise in structured silhouettes and natural shoulders. The fabric quality and craftsmanship was good.

Having a bespoke tailoring service alongside their made-to-measure offering can be reassuring for customers seeking made-to-measure garments. This arrangement often signifies that the tailoring house has a deep understanding of precise measurements, fit, and alterations.

“One of my personal favorites on Saville Row. Actually, I always stop by there on all my trips to London. The designs are classic, but interpreted in a modern way and the color combinations are bold and fresh. The team in the house is also very friendly and it's just fun to start your shopping trip at 'Richard James' with a new suit, sweater or shirt. One of my personal favorites on Saville Row. “Saw the owner on the tube looking dapper and asked where he got his threads. Checked out the shop and it’s tremendous. It’s like a less ponderous cross between Slowear and Trunk. Lovely cuts, a bunch of specific crockets made on wider lasts and cracking knitwear. I think it’s almost a one stop shop for men who know their stuff.”
